If you follow our blog you’ll probably have seen that on May 25th our recreation of the H.O.U.N.D shirt seen in Sherlock series 2 goes on sale at qwertee.com for 2 days! Because there is only a 48 hour window in which to buy the shirt we want as many people to know about it as possible so they don’t miss out on the chance to grab themselves one. The shirt is currently available in colour at our RedBubble store but the vintage black and white version will only ever be sold on Qwertee so this really is your only chance to get one!

So what better way to spread the word than a giveaway! And this will certainly be our shortest running giveaway ever as you only have until the 26th of May to reblog (which is only three days away!)

Terrifying Fact Number Two, is that I’ve just watched Matt Smith carrying a flaming torch on screen. Oh, it’s for such a thrilling scene in Episode 12. Really and truly, magnificent and epic. A proper movie moment. But never mind that, it’s Matt carrying a FLAMING TORCH. Look, Matt’s lovely, he’s a magnificent, brand new, hilarious, heartbreaking, heroic Doctor — but the fact is, if that man walks into a room with a coffee then it’s only so long before you’re wearing it. No, really, clumsiest man on earth. He walks like he’s in a constant state of surprise at his own limbs. I remember when he turned up at a Worldwide meeting really early on, and the first thing he did was spill a cup of coffee over a rather lovely woman. Naturally she giggled, flushed and introduced her mother. (Ahh, life when you’re Matt ! I accidentally made eye contact with the same woman — she phoned the police and shot me in the face.) On the way out he apologised to a completely different woman for the coffee incident. “That was the wrong woman,” I said, as he went out the doors. “Nope,” he replied, “That was the second cup.”

Oh, and there was the top secret, very special, extra readthrough for Episode 10 (I’m talking that up, but what the hell) and Matt came striding in with a GUITAR ON HIS BACK. I have honestly never seen a whole roomful of people flatten themselves against a wall with such a high-pitched squeal of terror. Except Karen, of course, who trotted along behind him without a care in the world. Oh, the horror as the Doctor spun and chatted and coffeed a series of delighted women. How that guitar arced and scythed! Swish! Get down, Karen! Swish! Karen, save yourself! Swish! Not her face, Matt, NOT HER FACE!! Ah, the memories. You know, to this day I’m not sure if Matt knew he had a guitar on his back — he might just have collided with a musician.

Most people in the Supernatural fandom here on tumblr seem know Sydnee. If you don’t know her intimately, you might’ve heard of her. Her URL is “thecapn”, and she is renowned throughout the Supernatural fandom for her deep insights on the show, her ability to write the most heart-wrenching, gripping, beautiful things and her support of various and sundry characters and the actors that portray them, which had inspired a few including myself to a deeper appreciation of Supernatural as a whole.

Recently, Sydnee has admitted to going through some hard times with things in her personal life. On top of that, she’s had anons come to her telling her that nobody cares what she’s going through, which is just plain false. I know there’s not much all of us can do, being generally hundreds of miles away from her, but I wanted to do just a little something to show how much we love and support Sydnee.

Here’s how it works: just reblog this, get the signal going. And then drop by and leave Sydnee some encouragement. It doesn’t have to be something long and spiffy though it can be if you want; but, come on, people. OK but here’s my thing - I DON’T KNOW WHAT THAT IS. Because that sure as fuck isn’t Steve’s shield - Steve’s shield is a solid metal thing made of vibranium that was created literally decades ago.

So - please - someone tell me. WHAT IS THAT.

You know, originally I thought it was one of the prototypes Howard Stark built for Steve in TFA? You know, when Steve’s all “Wow, these are really interesting, Howard, but my soul tells me I should take that one that’s made of a rare precious element that you do not wish to part with!” But looking at it again, there is no chance that Howard Stark ever presented that to anyone as any kind of functional shield…

…and then I remembered that Coulson is a dyed-in-the-wool Captain America fanboy. THUS I HAVE CONCLUDED IT IS SOME SORT OF RARE CAP MEMORABILIA, LIKE A “LIMITED EDITION CAPTAIN AMERICA SHIELD” THAT THEY RELEASED IN 1972 (because that thing reeks of the 70s, let’s not lie) TO TRY TO ~RECAPTURE THE GLORY~ OF THE CAPTAIN AMERICA FRANCHISE. They pulled it off the shelves after three weeks because it wasn’t selling, but the die-hard Cap fans know it to be priceless, since the unsold shields were melted down and reused.

For this reason, I imagine the rest of this scene goes as follows in Coulson’s head: THERE ARE ONLY 60 OF THESE IN THE WHOLE FUCKING WORLD, MR. STARK, REMOVE IT FROM UNDER THAT COIL AT ONCE. I WILL BE KING OF THE CON WITH THAT ITEM, MR. STARK. KING. OF. THE. CON.
